The 31 things I wish someone would have told me 10 years ago…

1. Beware of guys who wear sunglasses on cloudy days.
2. Don’t be afraid to LOVE…but be sure to LOVE yourself first!
3. You can do ANYTHING you put your mind to. The sky is the limit!
4. You are destined for greatness!
5. Take naps…Don’t worry, it’s not considered lazy.
6. Call your mother every night just because. She’ll appreciate it and you will too!
7. Fear is a trick of the devil.
8. Let your voice be heard, but make sure you have something to say.
9. Matthew 9:29 will CHANGE your LIFE.
10. Focus on you and your LIFE and EVERYTHING will fall into place.
11. Don’t ever lose sight of yourself.
12. The emptiness or void that you will feel can only be filled by GOD not man.
13. You are BEAUTIFUL just the way you are.
14. DALLAS always delivers more than you expect!
15. Drink more water. Get more sleep. Get a little activity in. It’ll keep the blues away especially when you’re oncall.
16. “The morning breeze has secrets to tell you. Don’t go back to sleep.”
17. Learn to DISCERN. Do NOT be fooled by a cute face.
18. Just Surrender! You are not in control of your LIFE.
19. Learn how to fast and pray.  Feed on the word of the Lord.
20. Expect the unexpected.
21. You were born to be CREATIVE. Let your imagination guide you into the unfamiliar.
22. Unfortunately, everyone won’t like you, but you must learn to LOVE them anyway.
23. Just because it TASTE good, FEELS good, and LOOKS good doesn’t mean it’s good for you.
24. Don’t be so hard on yourself. You’re not perfect.  Just don’t make the same mistake twice!
25. Don’t be afraid to WRITE what you feel.  You were built for this. You will inspire others through your obedience.
26. Your mother is your biggest fan. Don’t take her for granted.
27. GOD will always be with you.  Especially during those times when you feel the world has turned its back on you.
28. Death is a part of LIFE. When the mourning season is over you MUST LET GO!
29. Forgive and be SET FREE!
30. You can have the desires of your heart if only you BELIEVE (have FAITH). Stop trying to figure out Step 10 when you have yet to pass Step 1. “What’s your hurry?”
31. You are unique. You are a divine creation.  You are indefinable except by GOD. No one can take away what GOD has for you.
32.  And 1 to grow on:  Brick by Brick is how any home is built.  You must first lay the FOUNDATION. In time you will reap if you faint not.  Don’t be afraid to LIVE, LOVE, and LAUGH.  Share your thoughts and your writings with others.  There are people waiting for you to enter into your assignment.  The longer you delay, the more people you are holding up! TIME IS RUNNING OUT!
